Opportunities for fundamental change in the public health appeared from the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Though the pandemic is by no means over, an increased understanding of prevention measures and reflection on lessons learned is being considered to address these challenges.

To this effect, EMPHNET held a two-day symposium under the patronage of H.E Dr. Bisher Al Khasawneh in Amman, Jordan titled “COVID-19 Experience in Jordan: Realities, Challenges and Opportunities” highlighting the immense health, economic and social challenges among communities.

Experiences and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic was shared through panel discussions to present Jordan’s experience and strengthen preparedness and response to future pandemics while also highlighting media’s role in times of health crisis.
